ModelGuide combines public reference data with targeted source verification. The goal is to make device identification useful while staying transparent about where information comes from.

Apple references

Selected specifications, model-number mappings and feature details may be checked against publicly available Apple Support pages and Apple technical specifications. These pages are used only as factual references. Their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

Additional reference checks

When a detail is not available in the primary catalog, ModelGuide may cross-check established public reference sources such as EveryMac / EveryiPhone. When supplementary information is used, the relevant source is identified where practical.

Sources on device pages

Future individual device pages are intended to include a compact Sources section so visitors can see which references support that device record.

Accuracy and limitations

Public and community-maintained reference data can be incomplete, delayed or differ from manufacturer documentation. ModelGuide aims to provide useful information but does not guarantee that every record is complete, current or error-free. Corrections with reliable sources are welcome.
